Actually it's two years for a divorce. One year for adultery, but then Leanne was having it off before she got married so that's not classed as adultery, just fornication.

Yes, annulment is an alternative to divorce and one to which the church has no objection, though the grounds are rather limited. Wish I'd kept my law notes from year ago. A good pub quiz question is: "How many of Henry VIII's wives were divorced?" The answer is none, as the marriages were annulled.
