the shops are struggling here because of the out of town retail shops,, its the parking that causes the most trouble,, just not enough in the High streets and more than enough out of town,, i don't know what the answer is though x

Our nearest town's High Street is mostly boarded up with those dreadful Council advertising thingies covering the windows. The logos are "this is what the style of shop you could have" style. Well, we did once until the out-of-town nonsense started. It's ok if you've got a car to get to them but otherwise you're burgered.

Morning all, damp and miserable here in Notts, re the empty shops in the local town the council have,covered empty shop windows with posters showing people shopping etc,looks ok bu you still can't help noticing there's not as many people about spending.

hi i've only just managed to get here again after yesterday and wanted to wish you and mrs w all the best welshy. have had a quick read through some of the notes and see that she is due to go into hosp today. hope all goes well and am sure the family will ralley round. hope the stay in hosp is a short one and she is back home with you.
