It is quite good but I find because it flits between 3 different decades (60s 80s and now) and some characters are in at least 2 of them you really need to concentrate.
Great viewing, although I have been a bit confused with all the changing of timelines! Does anyone know if the father in the 80's - Scott and the little girls father, married to Alex Kingston - is the same man minus moustache who was in Ashes to Ashes? If not, he makes me think of him.
i reckon it is the same actor, bld.
so, what do you think the outcome will be, who dunnit and what happened?? is the grandad involved, or the dad?
I think it would be interesting if it turned out to be Ruth, and she'd killed Alice without realising and was repressing it. But it's probably going to turn out to be somethng to do with the Grandad or maybe the deaf woman.
my friend and I were discussing this morning, we have some theories....

Alice's grandad is actually her dad? Going on her dads sperm count and the way the grandad acting.... maybe Alice was killed by grandma, fit of jealousy!!

Amy has not been mentioned in 2010. Maybe she died somehow and it is she haunting the house in 2010.
The message in the mirror in 2010 said ASKOR, ask Olive R???. She was not around in the 60's so it could be Amy writing this message. Maybe she died in the 80's and it was something to do with Olive??
LOL... just some ideas x
Those are very interesting theories that have made me think, I've also wondered why Amy hasn't appeared in the 2010 bit and wonder if she died. The ghost of Alice is obviously very angry and a bit malevolent (and also can't have had her issue sorted in the 80s bit). Old Ruth seems to know it's her banging about with the plumbing.
The obvious suspects are the dad or granddad but they are probably too obvious.
ooooh... go to ITV.com. There is a brilliant trailer for next weeks episode!! Olive was around in the 60's!!!
ASKOR- Ask Olive Runcie, that's brilliant! That must be it! I remember seeing child Olive in the sixties flashback signing "I'm sorry" to Ruth, maybe she lured Alice to her death deliberately or by accident. I've been wondering about what might have happened to Amy too, eiyhervdhrcdied it they're saving her adult appearance for something big?
who's olive?
The deaf one
Ooh, maybe Amy will turn out to be in a mental institute?
I've just looked at the clip knowabit mentioned and you see Amy appearing to trip backwards on a log in the woods - then it stops!
oh yes, thanks prudie.
how many more episodes are there, anyone know?
2
Wikipedia says 5 that seems a strange number.
I mean 5 total not 5 left, sorry
and in the clip someone is burning the duffle coat!!!
