It was set in the future, though the film itself was late 70's early 80's (maybe?)
It was set around a house, that had all the gadgets programmed by a computer, tv, doors, cooker, plumbing etc and was voice activated, and it turn replied with a voice. It fell in love with the wife of the household, and the film was centred on the computer holding her hostage whilst trying to kill the husband.
Wasn't that an episode of the Simpsons Boo? Peirce Brosnan was the voice of the computer and it was one of their Halloween Treehouse of Horror ones (it could've been based on a film mind you)
Im wondering if there's another film which is almost identical, but not as grizly? As close as that film sounds, i honestly don't remember the one im thinking of being that graphic or horrorish (that a word?)
Hmm, maybe. Although that's the only one that I remember. But I've just looked it up on amazon and it's only got a 15 rating so possibly not as macabre as it sounds.
Can't be that many films like that can they? So it must be the right one.
Thanks again for your help, I can sleep tonight now, it was bugging the crap out of me all day and with not a whole lot to go on Google wasn't helping, lol.
yeah, coming to that conclusion too scotman. The Wiki write up just makes it sound way more scary than what I remember it being, but if it's only got a 15 rating as Vegasmad says, it obviously is pretty tame stuff.
Bet the films rubbish too, my memory has built it up to be somehow quite good, lol.
Glad to have helped :-)
It's funny how we remember films as really good and then we watch them years later and are really disappointed. Might still get it and see though!!
