When Cliff Thorburn was making the first televised 147 the two players on the other table came round the screen to watch. One was Bill Werbeniuk, but who was the other?

He was playing Terry Griffiths. You don't see anyone else in the shot. John Williams was the Referee.

played Cliff Thorburn one time in Scotland - in Glasgow. Fortunately he didnt make a 147 against me (or higher). Very nice guy though......

Thankyou for that I enjoyed watching it again, but what I was really after was who was Bill Werbeniuk (he appears brieflly to congratulate Cliff) playing? A large scotch is resting on this!
