Legally carrying a knife?
What is the legal situation regarding knives. I've always carried a gerber multitool and sometimes I varry a penknife. What is the legal length of blade I can carry as an adult? TIA

For Starbuckone:
The legislation on 'bladed articles' only refers to 'public places' (and to 'school premises') so, under that legislation your kitchen knives remain legal whiler they're still in your house.
However, if an intruder was to break into your home tonight and then grab one of those knives (before being apprehended half way up the stairs on his way to attack you), he'd be guilty of being in possession of an offensive weapon (even though it was still on private property). The same would apply if you grabbed one of your knives to attack a visitor to your home.
Sweet dreams ;-)
