Talk Talk Router

My electric went off the other day. Since then I can't connect to the internet. I am with Talk Talk and have a white Router box. I have tried unplugging it and waiting, tried poking a pen into the reset hole for 30 + seconds but still nothing flashing on the box.

Without being too technical can someone help me? I have a laptop and have connected wirelessly (but don't think I'm using my own wifi if that makes sense). Ok, you can now start asking me questions I won't know the answer to!

Do you not have any 'start up' CD that came with your router which you pop into the CD drive of your laptop that will give you on-screen instructions on how to set up the connection ? Other than that it looks like you may need to phone their tech support line....have you checked there are any service problems in your area from them ?

Haven't got a CD, but put in Talk Talk and got details how to reset router. My router is a Huawei EchoLife HG520b but nothing is flashing on it - can't remember if it did before. The old BT one I had used to flash like a disco - the screen is telling me I am connected but not sure if its lying and I am connected by a wireless connection in the area.
