Weird phone call

From someone called Chris - obviously a recorded message telling me he is a clairvoyant and wants to help me. I should press 1 on the keypad to hear more. Obviously I didn't press anything, but whats this all about? Phone number
033253465700 so I'm presuming it some sort of premium rate if you ring. Is anybody actually daft enough to do this? I was going to tell him his fortune but don't think he was listening.

Plenty are daft enough to do this. Yes, you press 1 and are diverted to a £20 a minute phone call no doubt. Many people fall for this and similar scams. In fact someone posted about how they had fallen for one only yesterday.

Sadly people fall for this sort of thing quite often. Must be worth doing, otherwise the callers wouldn't bother.

Can I report it anywhere? I am on the Telephone Preference Service and hate getting calls because if I am not here it makes the dogs howl.

just google any phone number and the 'who calls me' site will pop up first if it has been a number that has had complaints.

Dotty - are you sure? 0033 is France. Germany is 0049.
