Are We Heading Towards Another...
Politics1 min ago
My friend who I'll call 'S' rents a flat with her best mate of 7 years, who I'll call 'H'. They had a row a few months back (none of it S's fault) but H got annoyed and petty and moved out without telling S. Then H moved back in and was refusing to speak to S. S tried many times to sort this out but H just wouldn't have any of it. Then oneday S went away for the weekend and left a note for H saying she would be back Sunday afternoon. When S got home she found that H had moved out and taken all her things with her and most of the things they owned together (sofa, kitchen stuff and some furniture). H took all S's things from the kitchen (all the kitchen sets her family bought her when she moved out) and left her with 1 fork, 1 spoon, 1 knife, 1 plate, 1 bowl etc. H left her a note saying she will only pay her half of the rent but will no longer be responsible for gas bill, electric bill, water bill, council tax etc.. Even though H's name is on the lease and they have 3 more months left till they can move out. H called all gas, electric and water people and got all bills put in S's name and told them that she (H) no longer lived there. My friend S is so upset about all this as it was over such a small stupid arguement! Does anyone have any advice I can give to my friend S? Everyone is telling her to forget about it and move on but its hard because she is in a flat all on her own, paying bills that used to be shared.. and there is no furniture and H ahs taken most of her things. S told H that she wanted one of the sofa's (they bought together) for her grandad but H was welcome to the other one.
Can anyone help?
