The slow flow ones are for newborns so they can cope with the flow then as they grow you move on to faster flowing ones as they are able to cope better with the flow (am i making sense?). There is a guide on the formula milk tins that should help you to know what sort of amount your baby may need, although as im sure you know every child is different and may need more or less than these guidlines. My daughter is nearly 3 now but i think i bought around 4 or 5 bottles but like i say it depends on how much the baby feeds (and how much you want to wash and sterilise the bottles!!!!!) Hope this helps! x
Hiya, as below re get the 'slow flo' teats. I got six bottles so I could do a batch of six at a time - my electric 'Tomy' steamer holds six bottles and is the best thing since sliced bread.
I use SMA Gold, and for newborns they advise 6 feeds of 90 mls in 24 hours. I bought the bottles that hold 260 ml, because it'll last for longer when the baby needs bigger and bigger feeds.
Once you make up your feeds and leave them in the fridge it's great 'cause you can just sit back and wait for baby to want food.
