Me first (obviously).

There's a programme called The Best House Wins, or something like that.

Four members of the public vote on each others houses, and the winner gets £1,000.

A couple of weeks ago, it was set in Brighton.

One of the women on the programme was in a pub called The Mesmerist on Monday when I was having lunch with the GD and her pal.

Met Peter Purves when he was doing a promotion at a garden centre.
Have come across a few celebs way back, Morecombe and Wise (never did rate them!) Harry Secombe, Mantovani, Dorothy Squires to name a few. The last 3 were all quite charming and Dorothy was a great down-to-earth person - liked her very much. I wonder how few ABers will recognise the names :o( never mind, ttfn is having another medicinal tot to cheer herself up now.
Mantovani? ... kudos for that, ttfn.
I auditioned for Robert Marlow (who t.f. is that?, I hear you cry, lol)
Just remembered, many many years ago, a couple of members of Fun Boy Three turned up at a party I was having!
When I was in my teens and working in men's clothing store Lionel Blair was walking past . He stopped came in and looked the tag on a cardigan , then exited .

I dont know if the price was too expensive or too cheap , for him
Not Robert Marlow from Basildon?
My first English teacher at High School was a guy called Tom Buchan who co-wrote "The Great Northern Welly Boot Show" with a (then) relatively unknown bloke called Billy Connolly.

JUst recently one of these "Rogue Builder" programmes turned out to be based on the horror story of our old next-door neighbour.
Naz - he was charm personifed. I am still waiting for that pub quiz question to come up - 'What was Mantovani's first name?'
Annunzio - clever sod, aint I :o)
My MIL loved Mantovani, but always called him 'Mattavenna'
Yes, Mamy ... THAT Robert Marlow
I really can spell personified, I just can't ruddy type it <sigh>
Wow Naz respect!
Sat next to "Max" from from Brookside in Specsavers Chester.
Did he see you? lol
