Why won't the pictures open?

I have recently changed my email address to Hotmail.co.uk and since then, whenever someone sends me Emails with pictures in them all I get are blank grey boxes where the pictures should be.
If I right click on a box it gives me the option to view the picture but it still doesn't open.
As this has never happened before, I'm wondering if it has something to do with the settings on Hotmail.
Any help will be appreciated.

Dump hotmail and get a Google address.You will now be inundated with junk mail.

I'm surprised no one has yet mentioned that a similar question was asked about six weeks ago, so it has happened before but the answers given obviously were not what was expected or really wanted.
I've known other people who keep asking the same question of different people until they get the answer that they wanted to hear rather than the correct answer.
