Congratulations to JEG who I thought would have been too busy with his Listener duties!
many thanks for link
Cheers MM99
thankyou mintyman - i felt this was pretty tricky. there are a couple of clues which provide for alternative 'answers' and, i thought, a clever misdirection regarding one of the varieties.

The title starts with 11d & is 6 words.

mathsman your C is wrong.

1a &1d are both 'types' of 7a.

Many thanks for the link and congratulations to JEG on a well-merited success.

can give you the answer but can't think of any hints
