I went to a performance at the Royal Festival Hall in the 1950s, and I am almost certain that Andre Previn was involved, either as conductor or playing the piano.
I do remember that at the end of Bolero the whole audience rose to their feet and roared.
Can anyone help me with a date, please? It will be before 1956.

I'm not sure it would have been Previn, all info online seems to say he was a jazz painist during the 50s and composing film scores in the USA. His classical era didn't seem to start until the 60s.
