I have a new jacket but the zip is really stiff and sticks as you are trying to zip up or down. Is there anything I can spray on the zip to make it run smoother?

oil
Try rubbing a little soap (bar or liquid) on the teeth of the zipper. be careful not to get any of the lubricant you use onto the fabric of the jacket.
Try silicone or candle wax. Be careful though so you don't mark the fabric.
Use an ordinary pencil, the lead acts as a lubricant (I think!). Better than oil as it might mark the clothes.
NOT OIL it's a jacket Naz!
As helly says, use a pencil up and down on the zipper.
Also lip balm is meant to work also.
Lead pencil .Run it up and down the zip several times .Oil may stain the garment .
Or run a bar of soap ( dry ) up and down it .
