Hi, as I said in another question, my mother and horrid step father are taking me and my husband to court, this is to try and get a contact order of my children.

So this first bit, is them asking for leave of court. Does anyone know what happens? And what we will be asked to do? We can't afford a solicitor, and work, so we don't get legal aid, unlike my mother and her husband who has never worked a day in there lives!!

Any advise would be greatly received.

I don't think you'll have to do anything at this stage when they ask for leave of the court to apply for a contact order to see their family. The court will use the leave to decide if they can apply for contact with their grandchildren and have a hearing.
