New users...

Ed, do you think it might be a good idea to remind users to treat all new comers with respect?

Newbies are treated with suspicion and if it wasn't for the fact that Prendy was in the same room as me he would have been banned/suspended or treated like a troll.

He jumped in feet first because of me...and because of what I told him about the site. He should be left alone to find out the site etiquette for himself before other users call him 'creepy' or presume he's a troll....

This site needs new users, quite badly in my opinion, he's 19...he's a good boy. Let new users find their feet fgs...

Perhap's my computer is playing-up. I thought I was tuned-in to the Ed's Suggestion Box. This thread seems as if perhaps I am really looking into CB...a section which I normally avoid.

yes i too have noticed the ease at which people are accused of being trolls...slightest and vaguest thing and someone will 'sow the seed', within seconds ensuring that some others then start to doubt them too

personally i couldnt care less if a post is a windup, they will nevr stop so why give them fuel?
if i want to answer i will if i dont i wont...and sometimes the trolls are fun...and whilst its fun to bait and poke a genuine one, half the time they are not trolls at all and just genuinely have an odd question or are just a bit stupid or something...truth is often stranger than fiction anyway...

for the record joko, i didn't care whether prendy was a troll, or an established user or someone who's been banned or a combination of all 3. All I questioned, at the time, was why he was so odd. But Now I know he's ummmmm's nephew- 'nuff said ;-)
