That's not the same arch though pink-kittens, it;s at the other end of town and is called west gate. It's part of the old city wall and as you can see traffic goes through it.

wells - they ran out of funds and never completed the west end.....exeter is perhaps a model of how wells would have looked.......... the outer wall is the bishop's palace

Glad it's Wells, I thought Canterbury at first but the Cathedral is not at that angle from the main arch, and Westgate does look like that but the Cathedral again would be in the wrong place!
