Why are we paying india money?
They have their own space program, more Billionaires than anyone, they even have their own aid program, so F.F.S can someone tell me why we are giving aid to india when clearly they don't need it? Is there any truth in the old statement that aid is taking money from poor people in rich countries and giving to to rich people in poor countries

The problem the UK has is that we are an expensive country in which to make things.
And it is very easy to make things in "poorer" countries, and ship them over here.
But we continue to behave as though we are a rich country and it is going to go on for ever.
Handing out benefits to anyone and everyone, and allowing all sorts of unskilled people to come and live here who contribute nothing to the country and just take, take, take.
It is coming home to roost now with our financial problems, and people getting laid off and government and council funding cuts.
But I believe it will get worse and worse and in 20 years time we will look back at these days and think we were all fairly well off.
