My Canon Ixus 70 is about three years old and well used. Recently the interval between pressing the button and the camera responding has lengthened, with the result that I miss shots or get some blurring of the photo. The battery is fully charged. Can I do anything to speed things up? Thanks.

Check your flash isn't set to the permanent ..on.. position ... this would slow the shutter speed down.

Someone told me that you can get different read/write speeds of memory cards also.

Not sure how accurate that is but it might be worth trying a new/different card.
