Grass

Turned out better than expected today, even managed to get the grass cut for the first time this year, oh the smell of newly mown grass, almost makes you feel like a bbq. Still a bit cold for that though, but thniks.....I'll get in the mood and have a cold beer instead!

I've been in the garden practically all afternoon (just nipping in to top up the wine). It's been lovely. Just got another 17 plants to pot on and I can come in and put my feet up.

I'm waiting for the snow to go.......at least a couple of weeks for that I reckon.

if we get another sharp frost like yesterday and this mornign the grass will suffer, you don't cut grass till the frost is gone and it has started growing! Unless you;re in another part of the world and no the freezing North of England

I've had to dig a part of my lawn up. It was so bumpy I had great difficulty walking on it leave alone mowing it. Have removed all the top and flattened it out ready to put some fresh top soil on and grass seed later on in April when it has warmed up a bit. Didn't do it all myself - the lad up the street helped me. He wanted to earn some money . He is a very good worker and worth encouraging. Thought I had better confess in case you thought I did it all.
