imm file?

i have incredimail and my pc got buggered by a virus norton didn't catch and i managed to save a few things onto cd before restoring the pc. the e-mail messages i saved are in a file called an imm file but i can't open it now! any ideas how to get my e-mails out as some were important?

Get the name of the file you want access to. Search your C:\ drive for that name, IF you find a file with the same name, rename it and copy the file from the CD into the directory of the file you just renamed. Don't delete the old file as sometimes this doesn't work and I've never heard of incredimail. Now try and access your mail again. HOPEFULLY the copied file will hold your mail, the mail program will open the copied file as it has the right name and if you have the right file you should be back in. This has worked for me in the past but i'm not familiar with your setup. If you try this and get a new error, You may need to copy other files in, using the same process above and keeping the old files. It may be a slow process but if the mail is important. All i can think of.....
