Didnt know which section to put this under.
My partner has been given some corporate work shirts which say non iron. I thought ,fantastic, no more ironing all those work shirts. BUT no matter how Ive washed them, dried them or hung them, they STILL need ironing. They seem to crease so easily even when hung on hangers straight from the washing line

Is there some magic system to non iron shirts. Any help appreciated

One of my SIL's bought non-iron as her OH had changed jobs, she reckons they were a waste of money as they still needed ironed no matter how she washed or dried them
only non iron shirts I have bought that actually don't need ironing are from George at ASDA and they are children's ones

have you tried tumble drying till slightly damp then hanging? Mind you, that's a palava in itself so you might just as well dry then iron

During the winter months when my OH wears a jumper I only iron the front top half bit of his shirt
have u tried hanging in an airing cupboard?
As I recal, non-iron was also referred to as drip-dry so it is possible that by washing them in a washing machine with its consequent heavy wringing you have put creases in them too deep for the non iron facility to work. They may have to be washed by hand and hung on a line soaking wet where the creases will drop out with the water. There might just be a program on your washing machine which allows you to wash but not wring (don't know) for this kind iof material. Didn't they give instructions somewhere? On a label in the shirt? Might be too late to rescue the existing shirts as you may have spoiled the non-iron bit. In any case, if you have to wash by hand you might as well iron. Both are just as tedious. And yo have to find somewhere to hang the shirts to drip dry which at the moment might be difficult (line over the bath?).
I was going to suggest drip-drying them also....wash,but don't spin.
Pink-kittens, my mother had a saying back in the days when everything had to be ironed "collar and vest and b*****r the rest." She had a point!

thanks for your answers. It says on the label wash at 40 which I have. I dont tumble dry them as the label says not to, but have hung them on hangers on the washing line. It doesnt say not to spindry but maybe I will try that. Thanks very much
I'd love all my clothes to be non-iron. I bl00dy hate ironing!
Me too, tigger. I only iron what is necessary. Not ironed include towels, underclothes of all kinds (they soon straighten out with the heat of your body,) and anything I think I can get away with. Some things appear to be non-iron anyway. I usually end up ironing a few tops and some trousers. With little tiggs you may of course have to do more.
I do as little ironing as possible. In fact I only really iron my OH shirts of which there is always loads
Nooooo don't say that Starbuck! I don't want more ironing :o(((
lol starbuckone, I caught my ironing tip form my mother =D

I have a 7 year old tigger and the only thing of hers that I do iron are her school t-shirts, everything gets hung straight onto a hanger after drying or folded whilst still warm in a way so as to stop creases forming after folding (except where you want them lol)
