NO time on the list for sighting tonight ????
14 Answers
If anyone can find a time I would be grateful but it is not on my page list of times which is a pity as Discovery is still in Orbit and we had a fantastic sighting of them both last night. It is still going over uk on the tracker but not for a sighting. To morrows time is 6 41pm for the Spacestation but there is a possibility the shuttle will be landed back by then.

6:17 PM
< 1 minute
Max elevation: 14 degrees
Arrival: 14 degrees above SSE
Departure: 12 degrees above SE
(same figues for Discovery except a slightly different approach angle)
...I guess you'd have to be up pretty high on a hill with no light pollution to make it worthwhile for such a brief and low down sighting !

You sure it's landing at that time? The link I have says it will be flying over at 6:35pm our time:

Space shuttle Discovery’s crew is wrapping up final preparations for its planned landing at 11:57 a.m. EST at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The crew has stowed the Ku-Band antenna, used for high-data rate communications and television from space, and will go to sleep at 7:23 p.m.
My calculations are 5 hour time difference making a 5 57 pm uk time landing but will check later in the day.
