Does anyone know whereabouts the Lidl store is in Santander. I have googled it, there is one, it shows on a map but no names of roads, the only thing it gives is a long bearing.

I've never done that Naz but I'll give it a try. Problem is OH is in Spain for a month in Motorhome, Has found very reasonable cheap wine in Lidl, has decided he wants to stock up just before getting the ferry. He has knackered his laptop while out there so I'm having to sort him out!

We have had Lidl in Menorca for 3-4 years and now a second one has just opened.

Wine...excellent value.
Washing powder excellent.
Steaks...fresh....excellent.
German chocolate excellent

Mrs Sqad is dead right and the African Plantation Chocolate is even better than the german chocolate! It's been given loads of fantastic reviews which puts it above the very expensive brands.

Not that I live in Spain.

very good olive oil in tall square bottles, 2.89 a bottle, comte de brissard champagne, 14 quid a bottle sometimes down to a tenner and in the UK ones, frozen scottish scampi (langoustines) whole in their shells for 6.99 a kilo.
