Defence cuts........A huge mistake!!!

Mr. Cameron, Dr. Fox and the remainder of our Government are turning our military capability into a joke.
If the Government have their way, the UK will no longer be a military power and will not be able to defend ourselves or others. It would seem that that the Government are only interested in the short term gains that the cuts would achieve (a quick buck), and ignoring, or not even considering, the long term catastrophies that they could cause.
One only has to look at the crisis in Africa and the Middle East to be reminded of how volitile and violent our World is. With only one aircraft carrier, a massive reduction in attack jets and the loss of roughly 12,000 troops from the three services, the Government are depleting our capability to react to any situation.
Does anybody else agree that the SDSR should be re-opened and these cuts scrapped as a matter of international and national security?

We spend £bns on defence to keep this country safe, so they tell us. However the enemies are infiltrating daily through our ports and some turn out to be religious zealots whose only desire is to achieve supremacy. The enemy within is much quoted and proof that it is happening can be referred to the Aldgate bombs killing about 60.

Re the no-fly zone, Andy, let me just say that a carrierful of Harriers in the Med would have made this proposed one a lot easier! The problem is that it involves a lot more than just attacking enemy aircraft which DO attempt to fly there, one must also ensure that their ground forces are incapable of shooting OURS down while we do that...a much wider conflict-area.

Hey we don't need to worry about the Arc Royal and any aircraft carriers. The PM has a fantastic idea.

We are going to share our carrier forces with courageous, most reliable in times of battle, The French. Nice one Cameron!!!.
