i rent my house from a private landlord and so does my neighbour, the fence inbetween us has become damaged beyond repair due to my neighbours 3 dogs jumping on it all the time. Its to the left of my garden when facing the garden from my back door, have to find this out asap as my children use the garden and now theres a huge hole in fence and there dogs keep trying to get into my garden

However, there is no legislation that requires a fence to be placed on a boundary, even if you are responsible for that boundary.
There is legislation about keeping dogs under control and restrained within your own property, so my best guess is that the dog owner would require a fence and would be liable to replace. They cannot force you to do so, even if the fence is your responsibility.
