i live at the edge of a garage forecourt and my drive way to my house is constantly blocked by drivers too lazy to park in the appropriate parking for the petrol station,so obstructing my access to and from my property
who does the land belong to they are parking on? do you have row over it?
anyway, even if it's illegal i would guess that people are gone too quick to do anything about it. Perhaps put a no parking sign up at the end of your drive?

ty mark i have no parking signs up the are just ignored by inconsiderate motorist the land belongs to the filling station my house used to be part of the filling station, its just so infuriating as i often have to wait up to 15 mins to get out of my property, i have tried talking to motorist,s just gets me abuse and the owners of the filling station just don't give dam
Have a word with the police. They were very helpful to us when we called them over a similar parking problem and gave good (legal) advice telling us what we could and couldn't do.
do they need to drive on that bit to actually get into the station?
do you have a dropped kerb?
if not id suggest putting a large, but lightish plant pot with a bush on it, or edging rocks or something there so that they cant park...unfortuantely you would have to come out and move it every time - but sounds like you cant really stop them by asking nicely
i expect they know they shouldnt park there, but figure they will only be a few mins
So you have access to drive over .. but do not own it.
That should have been sorted at the same time as the title to your property.
Only way is to enlarge your signs and write to forecourt owners to see what can be done. They 'might' help you.
Nothing more you can do at this stage tho.
The Police will not be interested in that.
highway code rule 243 says "DO NOT stop or park in front of an entrance to a property"
I would suggest that this is what these inconsiderate idiots are doing therefore you have every right to call the police and have them ticketed and/or towed away
heahtfeild is incorrect as this was changed some years ago
I believe blocking access to private property is a criminal offence and a police matter. I did once ask a police officer this question. He answered that they will attend "if they are not too busy".
You can block who you like if you are on Private land. That forecourt is Private Land .. NOT public highway.
Unless the drive owner shares an agreement for un-hindered access 24/7 ... that is a different matter.

Do you know the answer?
is it illegal to obstruct a private driveway so owner cannot gain access to the highway
