Cash Card

Does anyone know if there's such a thing as a cash card yet? One which I could load with cash and give to someone else to withdraw at an ATM?
I'd like to send money as a present but would prefer not to use cheque or postal order as its not "instant" for the recipient. Any ideas of the modern way to give money in this way?

You pay money in and Ikobo sends the recipient a pre-paid Visa card, which can be used at any Visa ATM. Once they've got the card, anyone can top-up their balance online:

Thanks I'll try Clintons tomorrow - I didn't see anything similar on their website but I'll try in the shop
ikobo looks interesting too thanks, might be a little expensive and elaborate for my £25 gift this time but worth knowing about
I could try the post office tomorrow too perhaps? That's if I can find one in this day and age!

Sainsbury (I think) advertise a card which you put the money on, and then keep half the card yourself, and give the other one to they suggest, a student. This means that the "student" can buy food etc from their local stores, and if necessary "mum" tops the card up at home.
I hope this makes sense to you but it would seem to be an answer
