Please help!im looking for a book on the internet and was told the year was 2002. The only one i can find says 2000.  Does that mean that it was first published in 2000 and it would be the 2002 book.  Would they be the same book? Thanks

The 2000 one could be an earlier edition of the same book, but I think it's more likely that the 2002 date you have been given is either wrong, or refers to a reprint of the 2000 edition, in which case it's basically the same book.

A copy of every book published in this country has to be lodged with the British Library. If you search for the book in their catalogues you should be able to find out whether there are two distinct publications which share the same title:

Alternatively, tell us the details of the book and we'll try to give you an answer.
