one month old with constipation
6 Answers
My little on has just turned a month old and is struggling to fill his nappy. He is going but with some straining and when he does go its almost like rabbit poo but slightly bigger (sorry about the too much info lol)
Just wondered if i should change his milk, Health visitor advised giving him one teaspoon of fresh orange in his water, but this isnt a long term solution is it.
Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and if so what is the best thing to do.
I feel so sorry for him when he is trying to go, it makes me so sad that i cant do much to help him :-(

DEespite having a fab diet and drinking lots she found it so painful to go, shed be screaming and clinging on for dear life when she did, it was heartbreaking. The best and only thing that i found worked with her is lactolose from the doctors. I tried fig syrup, orange juice, warm water with sugar in it, sugary tea and had no joys with them but might be worth you giving it a go. Thankfully it seems to have sorted itself out now x
Thanx guys, Red i have a 3 year old so im well used to making bottles of milk so i know thats not a problem :-) and ratter i wasnt meaning i think its going to be a long term problem, i just want to find the easiest quickest method for easing the problem for my little one.... and i think a month is a long time to be suffering with this especially when its day in day out with no relief.
I think i'll try Aptamil thanks tigger, other people have suggested it too, its just difficult knowing what to do for the best without causing him more unnecessary discomfort.
The stresses of being a parent hey? lol
