I got up early today and thought I would prepare tonight's meal in advance.
I made chilli con carne and added a packet of the mix but it didnt taste very spicy so I added Nandos hot piri piri and I was much too heavy handed and its too hot to serve, dont want to waste it, how can I "save" it pls ? hubby suggested add potato and another tin of kdney beans, I remember my mum adding bread to stuff that was too hot, or could I stir in some yoghurt before serving or should I sling it and start again ?

I would mix in a dollop of creme fraiche. Chilli is quite often served with that to cool it.

thank you, I am off to get some.

If you can`t get creme fraiche, sour cream will do.

just got back from local shops luckily the good old Co-op had creme fraiche and it will save the day.
Add some sugar and it counteracts the heat. I didn't believe it but it saved my chilli the other week.
