Hi. I am having lighting problems with my 2000 Ford Focus. When i turn the lights off, the side lights and tail lights stay on. It even beeps when i open the door to say the lights are still on. At the moment i have to disconect the light switch to get the lights to turn off but i still get the beeping when opening the door. I have changed the light switch and no change. I have also checked all the relays but no change. Any ideas????? Thanks Adam

this maybe stating the obvious , but have you phoned your local ford dealer ????
Have you left the Indicator stork on either to the left / right position? If I leave my indicator to either one then the parking lights will stop on.
No ... that is not the system on Focus.
I used to look after all the Focus wiring among others for FMC.
Lighting switch problem .. or a main fuseboard problem ... BUT there may be a short into the lighting circuit in some area .. like rear lamps .. anywhere there is lighting AND lives. You'd better check carefully around first. The main fuseboard is a plug-in item (multi-plugs and colour-coded)
Never heard of this problem from any European dealer I used to support.
