Having reported on here last night about the cat who was tossing a dead mouse backwards and forwards over my feet, I've just spent the last few minutes trying to catch the live shrew in my living room before the cat (which brought it in) beat me to to it. Regrettably, I lost :-(

The shrew not only lost, but also became lost. (i.e. I can't find out where the cat has hidden it). So I'll probably have to wait for a week or so before the smell tells me where it is!

Isn't life fun?

I remember when I was much younger sitting around a friend's house playing a game called "Ultima 8". Anyway, we were swapping seats to take turns on it and I remember quite vividly taking my turn, putting my feet under the desk and feeling something...soft, wet, and limp...

On slightly later inspection it turn out I'd put my foot "in" a trophy rabbit brought in by the local would-be panther (known as Milly).

Just thought I would share!

our cat Violet Elizabeth Bott used to bring in tiny disposable babys nappies newborn size all screwed up and obviously thrown away and drop them on our bed, herself and we praised because she was ever so proud of herself and obviously the "gift" was for us.Trouble was no one in the street had a new born baby so god knows how far she had carried it home ! happened about 4 times ! can only suppose the baby got bigger and the nappy too big to carry.
Today it was a mouse and I have a horrible feeling its still somewhere in the house !
