missing cat

is there such a thing as a cat pound
my friends cat has gone missing

she has just moved into a new house (liecester area)

and its not been seen since friday

she has put up posters etc

but is very worried and upset about it

Has she tried calling the locals vets and the council?

call local cat sanctuaries too and the RSPCA / Cats protection league if in area.

Is their old house is nearby? Ask the new owners if you can go round and maybe call your cat or tap her food bowl with a spoon. Cats can sometimes find their way back home even from fairly large distances.

You're supposed to keep cats in for at least 2 weeks,after moving to a new house.Maybe the poor thing is trying to find the old house.

I am so relieved for your friend - the cat is probably confused by the move - might be worth trying to keep it indoors for a couple of days until it feels the new house is indeed its new home.
Cats are like that, though - so glad this is a happy ending!
