Top of the Pops? Might have been Mari Wilson who had a hit with this in 1983 - but she always had a huge blonde beehive...

Well here's a picture of Julie London, who had a hit with it in the 60's. This may be her. Just Google her name under images to get loads of photos that might help.

crysal gayle also sang 'cry me a river' on one of her albums - she had really long (nearly touched the floor) dark hair!
Maggie bell sings "cry me a river" over the closing credits of "Taggart".Don't know what she looks like though.

I think youre talking about the last 'Pop Idol' when it was a swing music themed night and Suzanne sang 'cry me a river' Everyone else dressed up in 50's clothes

Ithink you are talking about Crystal Gayle - her hair was so long that when she sang the song and stood up - the camera wasbehind her in one shot and her hair was lnger than her skirt - you could see hair just above her feet - it was gross looking- my dad was obsessed with her and subjeced me to her music continously - her sister was Loretta Lynn
