SIA and drink driving

I was wondering if anyone knows if a SIA licence gets withdrawn or not renewed if you get found guilty of drink driving??

I have looked on other sites but dont seem to be able to get a difinitive answer so the only place to come is the AB... You lot know everything!! ;0)

The SIA do revoke licenses for certain offences and as drink driving is a criminal offence as well as a motoring offence I wondered if it was a 'serious' enough offence.

I suppose some would consider it serious but if you can get to work on time would you need to tell anyone.

I'm not obliged to disclose it to work and TBH they are not bothered if, as you say, I turn up for work on time, but the SIA re-new the licence every 3 years and obviously I would need to be up front with them..
There doesn't seem to be a yes/no answer so I suspect they may look at every case individually.

With the exception of those offences which result in the death of another person, driving offences are not regarded as 'relevant offences' by the SIA. See pages 63 to 79 of this document:
