I was lost in my thoughts today, and memories of my childhood came to mind, I can go back to when I was about 4. How far can you go back?

Benjamin Disraeli, nope rings no bells with me but I can remember my first day at school. They let us out to play in the morning and I went home!! Thought that was it, Mum was not pleased

I remember my sister telling me our mother was in hospital to have a baby. I was just under 3 years old.
But now I'm sometimes not able to remember what I was doing last week

Later on, we stayed at Cameron House when I was 11 (back then it was Lomond House I think), and then my wife and I stayed there when we played the golf club, personal invitation of the Sec.

Recall delivering mail on Xmas day as a temp, like many students. Think the milkman was on his round too.

Possibly the Buchanan Arms at Drymen - I can distinctly remember the tartan carpets in the lobby, but then half the hotels in Scotland have that!

about 2 and half but i'm also with micmac by saying sometimes i find it hard to remember short term events than long term events.
i even remember a favourite toy i used to have that i used to walk around with and the settee i used to hide behind, thats prob my oldest memory.

The Buchanan Arms and Cameron House are still there DT - not sure about the tartan carpets though :)

well I enjoyed playing the golf club and managed to break 80 off the championship tees, so I was pretty happy with that - think the Cameron is a De Vere's now - not brilliant but ok if you have business in the area. Lat time in Glasgie, I stayed in No 5 Devonshire Place and enjoyed that.......had a very nice suite and for a good price.

No 5 was the restaurant at No 1......think it is now Hotel Du Vin...I like their original hotel in Winchester and their Bristol one is good too.

They're both a bit posh for me :) I've only been in Cameron House for work purposes and Devonshire is way off my price scale - just as well I'm not fussy! I have to say though, I've stayed in loads of hotels in Glasgow and Edinburgh and the only one that had a tartan carpet was about to get refurbished.
