mobile tracing??

Does anyone know how I can trace a phone call I keep receiving when my display reads' private no.''? I have a nokia 3310 and have no idea who keeps calling me, or what sort of phone they are using. Every time I answer they wait a few seconds and then disconnect the call. Any ideas on how I could trace the call?

no you can't trace it - everyone has the right to withhold their number. If you deem the calls to be nuisance calls, however, contact your service provider and they will take the necessary steps.

You could always set caller group tones and volumes for everyone you know and turn off tones for everyone else - this way it'll just ring and ring and the 'caller' will get bored when you stop answering (and if it is someone who genuinely does want to talk to you, they can leave a message on answerphone!)

Hi kalel, Don't worry, the number may be withheld from you but it's not withheld from your sevice provider. If you report this to the police they will give you a "crime number" to go back to the service provider with. They will warn the nuicance off - or even disconnect him. Chin Up!

Buy a new sim card - about 20 quid or so - and tell the people you want to keep in touch with the new number. the caller will just ring ring the old one and nothing will happen. The joke will be on them. or just when it comes up private number blow a whistle down the phone or say in your best foreign accent welcome calls charged at 10 pound a min at all time. soon get the message
