Why is alcohol sold in children's soft play centres?
8 Answers
We went for yet another session in a SPC today which sold wine and beer. It had a particular large slide and adults are able to go on the equipment supposedly to assist their children. However there was a group of 'adults' who were all drinking and they then went on the slide with their kids who did not need help. One of the men who was not on the small side decided to lay himself flat back so he would go as fast as possible which may be fun for him but he went down so fast god knows what would have happened if a child had been in the way. The staff are always watching the slide too so they must have seen what he was doing but nothing was said. At this point we were thankfully getting ready to leave but it did make me think why is it necessary to sell alcohol at all? Its hardly a place where its appropriate to get legless is it? Or be civilised and have a glass with your meal so why bother?
