My best friend is a man of 30. He has no luck with women. He, like all men, needs sex. He isn't getting any and there seems to be no opportunities on the cards. He also likes being single and has no desire to settle down or be in a relationship. In a week he is going away for the weekend, to London. There is no reason for him to go there- he usually likes to go to the beach or somewhere rural. I am pretty sure he is going to get a prostitute. I like to think I am open- minded, but this makes me feel queasy. What would be your thoughts?

Thanks everyone for your replies- food for thought. I will remove my judge's wig and be there for him, whatever.
Offer to upgrade your friendship to a friend with benefits level. That would work for me.
I also think it's none of your business. he's a grown up and can do what the hell he likes, and his friends shouldn't stick their noses in unless he wants to tell them.
Tell him to come to York...............it's a nicer place and the ladies may be cheaper.
If he was my friend, I'd just advise him to make sure he wears his jacket at all times and leave him to it (know what I mean?)
Lots of people go to london..The prostitutes there must make a fortune!
To be honest scarlett he may want to get away from everyone, Including you. Maybe you are crowding him a bit? He is 30 years old and may feel he has a better chance of meeting new friends elsewhere on his own. Give him a break he would tell you if he wanted you to know.
Nox Seedy, odd, fitted kitchen? Obviously as far as you are concerned women are not people . Don't suppose any woman would want to pay you for sex.
Actually Daisy for your information the point I was making (somewhat tongue in cheek granted) was that it's wrong for women to be high handed about what other women do for a living. It's not very nice when women who consider themselves 'respectable' look down their noses at ladies who work in the sex industry when in a roundabout way they often use their own charms on their menfolk to get what they want. I have a great deal of respect for women, but that is ALL women, not just middle housewives who thik they are better than girls who walk the streets and I am a champion of the cause 'All women count' campaign which is a collective of prostitutes who work for the betterment of people working within the sex industry to try to eradicate intolerance, bigotry and the general feeling that they are something you might want to wipe off your shoe. And no no-one has ever paid me to have sex with them, unless you're offering, but I know plenty of people that does apply to qand they are people too. Now perhaps you understand a little better.
