Star,
Wish I had a choice of shops to compare prices. Nearest supermarket (no car) is Co-op.
Everytime I see their advert 'Good with Food.' I want to throw something at the TV.
Luckily have a good greengrocer locally.
No butcher.
No fishmonger.
Oh, for a delicatessan!
You don't always have to be that sharp eyed to spot them

craft1948, I had a work colleague who was Greek. Her barely-English-speaking parents came to stay with her in London, and absolutely HAD to go to Harrods. There, they successfully haggled over a china dinner service, and got the discount they wanted. Workmate mortified @ her parents, but, hey - result!
I'm with Mamy on this. I try to live off the reduced shelf.
Me too - if the cheap shelf is getting empty, or only has egg mayo sandwich filling lurking in it, I feel cheated. 4-5 pm is a good time to go to tesco.
Lol Chuck!
I did a shop a few months ago, with multibuys, short dates, and genuine bog offs on non perishables...as well as buying a few things by other brands I calculated I saved over £40 on a single weeks shopping and I only had to go to two supermarkets( go to both anyway as I like sainsbury's but Co op has more short date meat on a sunday morning) total spend was around £80 and that included washing liquid, and coffee I forgot the cat food though...
your spitting in the ocean, how do you think they´re so big and powerful?
I had a similar thing at HMV a couple of months ago. Looked at the DVD special offers and picked up two I wanted that were labelled as 2 for £10. I wondered down the other end of the shop where I spotted the same DVD's priced up at £4.00 each. I just decided the person working out their offers isn't very good at maths.
