Am I the only person who gets annoyed when bed adverts come on the tv, and feature nicely decorated bedrooms, and people lying on very large, mostly expensive, beds, WITH NO SHEETS ON THEM - as if that was the norm! Everyone has sheets on the beds, so why not show them instead of mattresses!
I think it's because they are selling mattresses rather than bed linen, after all, if you where selling floorboards you wouldn't use an advert with them covered in carpet.Sorry about the rubbish analogy.
I am more bothered about the fact that the bedrooms are nice and big. and the kitchen ads where they have a huge kitchen with that bit in the middle of the kitchen. I've visited many homes in my life and have yet to see a kitchen big enough to fit an island (or whatever its called) in the middle of the floor.
If the bed ads are supposed to make us think they are set in a a bed shop then why are the models always in their nightwear???? Never seen half dressed men and women wandering around my local bed shop!!
I like to watch the progs about people wanting to move to a property in the country & I'm getting increasingly annoyed at the fact that they show many of them at the very top end of the market, wouldn't it be nice to see people on a low budget looking to move ?
