Dilemma

Just opened next doors council tax bill by accident. It was laying face down on the mat and I just presumed it was ours. It wasn't until I read 'single occupancy reduction' that I realised.

So, do I hand it over to her and apologise...

Or shred it and pretend I didn't get it...

I'm not taking the moral high ground here but she doesn't live there alone. So if I hand it back then she will know that I know...I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that.

Don't shred. Either own up, or reseal and put back in the post marked "delivered to wrong address". No one will know who opened it.

I'd personally just bin it Ummmm, that or if I particularly wanted to have something over her give it to her and let her know I know what's she's up to, depends on if you think she might ever prove useful for anything, if not just bin it.

If your only concern is her knowing you opened it just reseal and pop in the local post box. If you object to her falsely claiming the single occupancy reduction then call the local authority and alert them on their confidential line. If smoking cannabis is affecting you then ditto to local police.

My next door neighbour is very noisy. He shouts everything and plays his music and tv very loud. I do not complain because I don't know how loud my tv is to him. I just take my hearing aid out and put subtitles on the tv. Regarding your neighbours ummmm I bet she is on other benefits as well. If you grass her up with one thing it might have a knock-on effect. By the way, what does weed smell like? Is it a distinctive smell? (just curious) :-) ☺☺

The smoking doesn't effect me to mush I suppose. It makes me house stink which is annoying. It's also annoying when I hear my kids explaining to their friends that it's not us smoking drugs...

Red...I'd love to that in theory. It would just make me feel bad though...

Star...very distinctive and not very nice. I just sent my nephew to the kitchen to smell it..he said 'that's good sh!t they're smoking'

I don't smoke it pixi...so it's horrible. We have adjoining outhouses with a continuous roof over the two and there's a gap above the adjacent wall. The window to my kitchen looks into the outhouse so stinks the place out...

Really tempted to do what Red says....might make ginger do it later :-)
