Free Calculator for my Windows 7 Laptop

Can anyone recommend a basic calculator gadget for me to download from the internet.
I can see a few when I look up calculator via the get more gadgets window but the warning beware downloading sofware from unknown source is displayed. Don't want to download viruses etc.. Thanks in anticipation

Every edition of Windows since Windows 95 has come with a calculator built into it!

It's here:
Start> All Programs > Accessories > Calculator.

If you want a desktop shortcut to the calculator, follow the above path but (instead of left-clicking on 'Calculator') right-click and select 'Create Shortcut'. You'll then see 'Calculator (2)' added to the list of available programs. Drag it to your desktop.

Tried that already no joy. Checked my wifes PC she has one in accessories. Hence my request for a nice simple one from a gadget website.

Click on the start button and type calc into the search box at the bottom.

You should get the caculator shown at the top of the start menu then, once you do you can right click on it and either pin it to the start menu, or pin it to the quick launch, or select send to > desktop to create a shortcut on the desktop.

Buenochic Found it eventually in the system folder called calc not sure why it did'nt appear in the accessories folder but have made a shortcut to desktop.
Problem solved now to do some sums!

While the more basic editions of Windows 7 have lots of features omitted, Calculator doesn't seem to be one of them.

Go to Control Panel > Programs > Turn on or off Windows features
If 'Calculator' is listed there, put a tick next to it.

If you only see Accessories', double-click on it and then look for 'Calculator', so that you can insert the tick there.

Calc is not shown in the control panel windows features list. Anyhoo i'm happy with what I've got. cheers

That should really be amended to "Every edition of Windows has come with a calculator built into it!" i.e since the 1985 release of Windows 1.0
