the need to pee

It seems quite often of late, but when I do go there is hardly anything there just a dribble even if i have to get up in the night which is maybe once (needing to go wakes me up) yet when I do go its not very much, i drink a fair bit of liquid during the day and evening, and sometimes when i wake in the morning I have this ache in my lower back, dont know if this could be connected in some way.

or even diabetes (the symptoms of which include an increased desire to urinate, especially at night).

I doubt that even our resident medic, Sqad, will be able to give you a definite diagnosis online. (For what it's worth, my own guess is that it's kidney-related). Only your GP can do that.

Avoid caffeine, specially in the evening.

Have you had a stone - you will know about it if you have......a very sharp acute intense localised pain that feels like cold steel in you. If so, then the pee issue may be a precursor to another

some urine infection, just go to GP and get it checked out

Well..........if you are passing small amounts of urine, it is because

A) You are not producing the urine
B) You are producing urine, but there is a blockage at the neck of the bladder.

If your bladder is full, then there is a blockage, if your bladder is not full, then you are not producing urine and only a doctor by feeling you stomach could tell.

My bet................a bladder neck obstruction.

Are you on any medication?

the only medication I am on Sqad is for under active thyroid,

Ok...my answer remains the same and it could well be Gynaecological in origin e.g cystocoel or partial uterine prolapse.

It may well do, particularly if you have a full or half full bladder.

As I said in my post....your bladder is the key to your problem.........is it full or empty..........and only a doctor could answer that, by putting a hand on your abdomen.
