How can I find out a lost password with Lycos Mail?
1 Answers
Sorry if this question has been asked before, but I really need to know this. I have 2 email accounts, and one of them is with Lycos Mail, but was told recently to change the password. This I duly did, but now it will not let me back into my account with the new password in operation. I have tried emailing the Help department, but they only send the password to the very account I can not get in. A Catch 22 situation! Does anyone know of a way they can send a password to a different account, or is there an actual phone number I can ring to speak to a person about this?
I would really appreciate your help on this, as have not been able to access my account for weeks now, and think it may be full of junk mail.
Thank for your help in advance.

Nobody will be able to send you your password as it is probably held in an encrypted format so nobody (even from Lycos) can find out what it is.
Many of these email systems have an option which says "lost your password" or similar.
See if you can find that option, and it may ask you a security question or two, then may allow you to reset your password.
