Thinking of having this done to stop my hair going frizzy in humidity. Anyone had this and how was it...I spend a lot of time abroad and also in the sea and swimming pools, is this going to affect the results as you are supposed to use a salt free shampoo after its been done? Thanks

I'm thinking of doing this... I'm waiting for a groupon voucher for a decent hair salon though. I'd love to do it at my hairdressers but it's going to cost in the 3 figures if I go there!

I bought a groupon voucher for this for £55 instead of £155 but then read up on it online and changed my mind and got a refund!

It contains 60 times the safe amount of formaldehyde which is a carcinogen, and has apparently made people ill! I know the DM scaremongers, but some of the comments below the article are interesting - apparently it is already banned in some countries!

I've had the Yuko system done a couple of times and its great. Although quite expensive it lasts until re-growth. Last time I had it done it cost £250 but this was in a small village in Kent. I did have it done in London around 6 years ago and it was around £350 - 400.

I have extremely unruly hair that needed taming. I wouldn't do it now though.
