Hair dye and antibiotics - any contra-indicators?

I'm currently taking penicillin for a nasty tooth abcess (swelling right across the left side of my face). I need to re-dye my hair. Are the infection and the antibiotic likely to affect how the colour 'takes' or increase the risk of any nasty skin reactions? Should I wait until the infection's gone and the medication finished before applying any chemical colourants? It's a red colourant, by the way.

Don´t dye your hair whist taking antibiotics.............you might get away with it, but your hair might not end up as the intended colour.

Don´t ask my why..........I dont know.
You're okay so long as there are no abrasions on the scalp. Have a tint & strand test 20mins before to dbl check.

n.b. Reason for tint caution of medications is generally due to inhaling process fumes, e.g. asthmatics etc.

Thanks guys. Think I'll leave it a few days. I can put up with the grey roots for now. With hair colour at over £5 a pop, it's not something I want to waste money on.
Try Poundland for a cheaper selection

Oh, I've got the dye, Mrs O, slighty different one but same brand, so I'm pretty sure it'll be safe under normal circumstances. It's just with the infection and the meds, I'd rather not mess.
