start your text with blahblahblah

Why is it that when you text into a tv or radio show etc, they usually ask you to start your text with some random word vaguely to do with the theme of the show?

Take radio one for example...
They have one main number to text into (8119) and generally those texts will goto a screen in the studio, if they decide they want to do a survey of some sort they would say text "survey followed by yes or no" and the leading word of survey will be noticed by the computer systems and counted as a yes no vote depending on the next word and then probably not sent to the screen in the studio.
It just to make the routing and sorting of the messages for certain features automated
